Here are a few tips to ensure the grooming process is as comfortable as possible for both us and your pooch.

We want your dog to be happy whilst in our care and the following tips will help you achieve that.

  • Please ensure that you have exercised your dog before their appointment as I’m sure there is nothing worse than busting to go the loo whilst being bathed, dried and trimmed. (Some appointments can last over 3 hours)
  • Not too much food please before the appointment, grooming can be quite an energetic process (especially for those that don’t like their feet being touched)
  • Please don’t arrive early to pick up your pet, wait for the call. It’s happened before and the dog becomes so excited to see their owner its almost impossible to finish the trim to a good standard.
  • Please ensure you brush your dog properly between appointments. A matted coat can be very uncomfortable for your dog and the dematting process just as much so.
  • Did you know that matted fur can cut off the air supply to the skin and cause sores? If you need any help or advice with the care of your dogs coat we are always here to offer advice.
  • Please book your next appointment in advance to avoid having to wait a few weeks for an appointment. This will ensure your dog is groomed at just the right time and should avoid coats becoming tangled and matted.
  • All dogs attending the salon are expected to be fully vaccinated and have regular up to date flea and worm treatments. If you are in any doubt about this, please consult your vet and postpone the appointment. In any case where a dog is found to have fleas, the owner will be subject to a fumigation and deep cleaning charge at the time of collection.
